What's Greater Than You?

Picture
You are the treasure to the world, your greatness is all dependent on what you can contribute to society and other people. No matter the circumstance you can find satisfaction by giving of yourself to the betterment of others.

If you are someone that needs to hear that you were created for a reason a divine purpose, then hear this:
Your design from birth is greater than you period. Find your tribe and give service to them. Your tribe is those that you feel the most connected to. It could be from a past experience, a passion or a calling to serve.
My encouragement is that you will want to live your purpose for the pursuit of joy and satisfaction of life.

One Life

This idea of one life isnt new. I am reminded that I have one life to live and ts way short. Shorter than I imagined, as breif as a flame that gets blown out from the wind. So, why do I and others look at life as if their is an abundance, or unlimited supple of it.

What my mission in this life is to help you connect to the other life, the life where you choose on a daily basis to maximize your potential and fulfill your purpose.

What’s my encouragement today is you find an anchor to recognize how short life is and to want to on a daily basis live your best life. Loving deeply, forgiving often, and pursuing passionately your purpose.

Even In Loss Choose Joy

Picture
Henri Nouwen so wisely wrote, “Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy, and keep choosing it every day.”

Recently my family and I dealt with the loss of our mother, my second mom and my wife’s mother. She passed away after battling cancer for the third time. One thing I will always embrace is the hope and joy she would make me feel when I would be with her or around her. Although we kew this day was coming, it still stings a bit to know she isnt around anymore. But , because of her life and what she gave me , I had a bank of joy that was full in my heart. So, I share with you some keys on how I made Joy A Choice.

Some Keys On How I’ve Made Joy A Choice:
  1. Receive the joy when it knocks on your heart- this is not an automatic response for every one, this is a deliberate act of opening your mind, soul and heart up to a higher reality.
  2. Live life from the joy- Once you receive this joy, let it be the power to which you excercise your service to others and the world. The benefit is that , there is always a reward for giving of yourself from a beautiful stance in life.
  3. Continually think about the good in life- The biggest diestractions from the joy you have received is the input you allow to penetrate through your ears and your eyes. Stay focused by keeping positive in front of you.
I guarantee that if you would step out into this space in which I love to reside, a world full of joy will open up to you and present miracles you would’nt even imagine.

Why Your Value Is Tied To Others

Picture
There are those that care and there are those that pretend to care. I understand we are all selfish at some level, but does your selfisness out weigh your genuine care for others? Putting others first can be beneficial in many ways and I want to share some key tips on what this can do in these arenas.

Give people the opportunity to sample your competence and character.

Jobseekers:Do you volunteer? Give others the opportunity to see what you can do? Who you are when you volunteer or participate in sports is who you are. Do you stay connected with past professors and old friends? Do you nurture connections with new contacts? Do you say thank you and do you notice people, listen to them and value them.
Entrepreneurs:Do you give exemplary customer service? Understand that “good service” is to be expected — it’s not unique and sometimes it’s not even memorable. Yet, great service provides others the opportunity to see that you do what you say you’re going to do. The statement, ‘the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is a just a little extra” holds true.
2. Genuinely care.

Take the time to learn what’s important to others. Listening to others can unearth valuable information into what’s important to someone, what drives them and what drives them crazy.
Do you ask how you can help them? What you can do to make this process easier for them? What’s important to them? What matters most?

3. Authentically appreciate those you’re grateful for.

How often do you stop and express your appreciation for someone? I’m not talking about a quick ‘thank you’ text or a short email and not even an automated e-card. What I’m referring to is a genuine thank you. It could be simple as a quick, handwritten thank you note. It could be knowing what they’re struggling with the most and helping them out or sending resources (books, knowledge, contacts) their way to assist. It’s slowing down long enough to notice someone, value exactly what you appreciate about them, genuinely expressing that value and engaging them.

What can you do this week to show value to others?
