One of the biggest things I talk about often with my children and even more now with my youngest as he grows into a young man is attitude. It all comes down to the controllables , what can we control, what can I control? Also the other controllable is effort and character. I like the excerpt from the book, “Thinking for a Change” by John Maxwell. Here is what John quotes as the definition of attitude: What is attitude? I believe… It is the “advance man” of our true selves. Its roots are inward but its fruit is outward. It is our best friend or our worst enemy. It is more honest and more consistent than our words. It is an outward look based on past experiences. It is a thing which draws people to us or repels them. It is never content until is is expressed. It is the librarian of our past. It is the speaker of our present. It is the prophet of our future. Living with this in mind that an attitude of the better part of yourself changes the behavior which ultimately changes your environment. This message is for the old and the young, we all have a daily work to do a be aware of our attitude in any given moment, because if you can recognize the emotion or feeling or thoughts you will be well on your y to maximize any given moment of your life towards success. I hope this encourages you today mazimizers. Blessings- Coach Milton |
