Be Bonded To Your Word
The challenge to obey this rule I have stated is that it takes consciousness and work. I believe I am only as good as my carrying out the words I have spoken.
You’ve never said, “I’ll get to it later.”
or “What does it matter any way” or how about , “Well, missed that one!”
These simple phrases are an excuse to not be a person of your word. I wish I can tell you I am perfect, and I write this thinking of an instance that I let someone down after speaking in affirmation to an action.
But, the fact is that it’s work and a bondong to the words you and I speak. We must begin the mindset that we can be a hung by our tongue. Do you enjoy being aroun those that will back up what they say? I know I do, thats why I work hard to back up the words that I speak daily.
Being married for nearly 20 years, I said somethings early in my marriage that I am still working on to achieve for us. I work with non-profits and businesses and believe that my word is my bond.
My encouragement to you is that you will pay full attention to the words you will speak and work to make sure that you bring those words into tangible existence everyday.
Blessings on your journey,
