It wasn’t too long ago I would allow myself to give up, run away or hide from my success. Now I didn’t realize I was actually doing that till after some reflection and counseling.
See I had overcome some obstacles in being successful on the football field and graduating from college, but for some reason that hard work and conquering challenges didnt easily translate to the business or professional world. Call it I was out of my element, call it I was running from confrontation, call it I was afraid of the hard work. It was a mixture of a few things. The one thing I recall from those experiences, was that I had gotten used to being celebrated in other arenas. I had to come to the grip that an injury and sickness kept me from moving on to the pro level. So I was mourning and had to adjust. The hardest realization is that I had to look in the mirror and be totally honest with the fact that I was sabotaging my own success. And listen I wanted to be successful I wanted to be totally successful but I was holding myself back and at this point it really really was ticking me off. If I can say one thing today to encourage you to give you the freedom to let go of the past and anything else that’s sabotaging your success please listen to me. I want to see you be the greatest person that you could possibly be while alive on this earth, be better every single day. Thanks for listening- Coach Milton
