What Do You Value?

11/8/2022

We see this definition of Value as this: the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. There are many things to value in life , but what is the value you place on your freedom , your core values, your life? This is the question that needs to be asked one on one in a mirror with a clear mind.

When I was playing high school football and before then I valued playing professional football as a path to a dream I had in life. I recall when I had injured my left knee paying this sport I love, the doctor told me I would never play again because I had to have surgery. This surgery was a serious surgery, one that needed my knee to be reconstructed with pins. Feeling devastated, the plan to recover ws layer out before me, but in my mind and hear I said I will play again. This will not stop me!

I give you this story to share my emotion and passion behind the question of, what do you value? Having values is the biggest thing I can stress for a successful life , a legacy to leave behind. Not only are your values a mirror you present yourself everyday, but what you value should be a meter as to the impact you give to those things each day.

“Values are like fingerprints, nobody are the same, but you leave all over everything you do”

What you touch and do should be guided by what you value, the things , the people , the projects all of it. Ill add this even your alone time should you take it. I value my relationships with family , friends, and my God. These are the things that guide me daily and when they are out of balance I quickly move to make sure the things get back on track.

To finish my childhood football story in response to my knee , I leave you with this I did rehab and recover , I did play college football and I did get invite to the NFL Combine. I tell you this because , when you truly identify what you value, you will do al you can to make sure that it remains a focus in everyday life.

Hoping this encourages you on your journey,
