The challenge to obey this rule I have stated is that it takes consciousness and work. I believe I am only as good as my carrying out the words I have spoken.
You’ve never said, “I’ll get to it later.” or “What does it matter any way” or how about , “Well, missed that one!” These simple phrases are an excuse to not be a person of your word. I wish I can tell you I am perfect, and I write this thinking of an instance that I let someone down after speaking in affirmation to an action. But, the fact is that it’s work and a bondong to the words you and I speak. We must begin the mindset that we can be a hung by our tongue. Do you enjoy being aroun those that will back up what they say? I know I do, thats why I work hard to back up the words that I speak daily. Being married for nearly 20 years, I said somethings early in my marriage that I am still working on to achieve for us. I work with non-profits and businesses and believe that my word is my bond. My encouragement to you is that you will pay full attention to the words you will speak and work to make sure that you bring those words into tangible existence everyday. Blessings on your journey, Coach Milton What is resilience? Resilience is an “inner strength” that helps you bounce back after stressful situations. When you are resilient, you may recover more quickly from setbacks or difficult changes, including illness. Developing resilience begins with simple actions or thoughts that you practice, such as planning for what you’ll do next and learning to accept change. Being resilient doesn’t mean that you find it easy to deal with difficult or stressful situations or that you won’t feel angry, sad, or worried during tough times. But it does mean that you won’t feel so overwhelmed. You’ll be less likely to give up and more likely to cope with stressful situations in healthy ways. Why is resilience important? Part of resilience is how you think. Your mind can have a positive or negative effect on your body. This is called the mind body connection For example, negative emotions, such as worry and stress, can cause tense muscles and pain, headaches, and stomach problems. But having a positive outlook on life might help you better handle pain or stress than someone who is less hopeful. How can you build resilience? People who are resilient often work to have a positive outlook on life. It may take gradual, small changes in your outlook on life and careful self-evaluation. You may be able to begin this shift on your own. A counselor or therapist can also help you. Here are some tips to get started: Change how you think · Accept that things change. - Look at change as a challenge rather than a threat. - Examine how and why you feel the way you do when things change. - Expect things to work out. You can’t change what happens, but you can change how you feel about it. · See the big picture. - Find the positive in stressful situations and learn from the situation. - Look for things to learn. Difficult or emotional situations can teach you about yourself. Look to the future, and ask yourself how the stressful event might help you. - See the funny side of bad situations. Change how you act · Seek out interactions with people who make you feel better. - Build relationships that are solid and loving with your family and others. Help them, and don’t be afraid to let them help you. -Develop a support network · Believe in yourself and the things you can do. - Solve problems. Look at all aspects of a problem, and brainstorm solutions. Ask friends for suggestions. - Do things to gain self confidence and build self esteem. For example, list the things you’ve achieved in your life or those that make you proud. · Take good care of yourself. - Do things that you enjoy. See a movie. Have a good meal. Laugh with your friends. Know what’s important to you. -Relax your mind and spirit through techniques such as deep breathing and guided imagery. -Talk about how you are feeling, and manage your emotions.
Coach Milton Don’t Settle for Less Are you excited about your life? Or do you feel as if you’re merely existing, drifting along from day to day without any sense of purpose or direction? Through the years, I’ve met countless people who’re living what I call a “settled-for-life.” Somewhere along their journey, they became complacent and content in their circumstances. They settled for what they believed was adequate or satisfactory instead of exerting the effort and work necessary to living a life that’s truly excellent and outstanding. The truth is, it’s easy to find ourselves settled and complacent in life. And there are many reasons we can feel stuck, discouraged, or adrift; lose our enthusiasm for life; and forfeit our hope, sense of purpose, and peace. In my opinion, the foremost reasons are because many people have lost sight of who God made them to be and what He designed them to do. As a result, countless people are not actively, intentionally, and purposefully pursuing what the Father has planned for them. If you truly want to pursue your purpose and reach your full potential in life, then you must face up to these two truths:
If you’re willing to discover and align yourself with this gloriuos plan and purpose for you, He’ll bless you more than you could ever imagine and open doors of opportunity you never dreamed possible. He’ll restore the joy, peace, and hope you’ve lost and show you the path to the accomplishment He wants in your life. And He promises to bless you with life at its very best. God has placed you in this time and your current location to allow you to maximize your role in establishing His will “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). If you’ve ever wondered why you’re on this earth, understand that God has placed you here as a unique person with a unique mission aimed at establishing and extending His kingdom—and your potential lies securely and completely in that purpose. The question is, do you truly believe it? And more importantly ... are you ready to get started? Let Us Journey Together- Coach Milton You are the treasure to the world, your greatness is all dependent on what you can contribute to society and other people. No matter the circumstance you can find satisfaction by giving of yourself to the betterment of others.
If you are someone that needs to hear that you were created for a reason a divine purpose, then hear this: Your design from birth is greater than you period. Find your tribe and give service to them. Your tribe is those that you feel the most connected to. It could be from a past experience, a passion or a calling to serve. My encouragement is that you will want to live your purpose for the pursuit of joy and satisfaction of life. Blessings CoachMilton See this Instagram video by @miltonherring
This idea of one life isnt new. I am reminded that I have one life to live and ts way short. Shorter than I imagined, as breif as a flame that gets blown out from the wind. So, why do I and others look at life as if their is an abundance, or unlimited supple of it. What my mission in this life is to help you connect to the other life, the life where you choose on a daily basis to maximize your potential and fulfill your purpose. What’s my encouragement today is you find an anchor to recognize how short life is and to want to on a daily basis live your best life. Loving deeply, forgiving often, and pursuing passionately your purpose. Blessings Coach Milton Henri Nouwen so wisely wrote, “Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy, and keep choosing it every day.” Recently my family and I dealt with the loss of our mother, my second mom and my wife’s mother. She passed away after battling cancer for the third time. One thing I will always embrace is the hope and joy she would make me feel when I would be with her or around her. Although we kew this day was coming, it still stings a bit to know she isnt around anymore. But , because of her life and what she gave me , I had a bank of joy that was full in my heart. So, I share with you some keys on how I made Joy A Choice. Some Keys On How I’ve Made Joy A Choice:
Coach Milton There are those that care and there are those that pretend to care. I understand we are all selfish at some level, but does your selfisness out weigh your genuine care for others? Putting others first can be beneficial in many ways and I want to share some key tips on what this can do in these arenas. Give people the opportunity to sample your competence and character. Jobseekers:Do you volunteer? Give others the opportunity to see what you can do? Who you are when you volunteer or participate in sports is who you are. Do you stay connected with past professors and old friends? Do you nurture connections with new contacts? Do you say thank you and do you notice people, listen to them and value them. Entrepreneurs:Do you give exemplary customer service? Understand that “good service” is to be expected — it’s not unique and sometimes it’s not even memorable. Yet, great service provides others the opportunity to see that you do what you say you’re going to do. The statement, ‘the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is a just a little extra” holds true. 2. Genuinely care. Take the time to learn what’s important to others. Listening to others can unearth valuable information into what’s important to someone, what drives them and what drives them crazy. Do you ask how you can help them? What you can do to make this process easier for them? What’s important to them? What matters most? 3. Authentically appreciate those you’re grateful for. How often do you stop and express your appreciation for someone? I’m not talking about a quick ‘thank you’ text or a short email and not even an automated e-card. What I’m referring to is a genuine thank you. It could be simple as a quick, handwritten thank you note. It could be knowing what they’re struggling with the most and helping them out or sending resources (books, knowledge, contacts) their way to assist. It’s slowing down long enough to notice someone, value exactly what you appreciate about them, genuinely expressing that value and engaging them. What can you do this week to show value to others? Blessings Coach Milton Acceptance.
When we accept something we are allowing it to penetrate our thinking and allowing it to go deep into our spirits and into our souls. This is where the roots of our life is, and where we can live out of. When we accept something, we allow it to pass through the layers of our thinking, join our memory, going back to what is right, what is wrong, what I truly believe and then does it line up to everything that I believe. When we accept something as truth, we deposit it into our soul and we allow it to take root. What do you accept as far as truth when it comes to the momentsin your life when it’s dealing with your health, your relationships or your finances or your business or your professional life? What do you accept or believe as truth? Are you worthy of something greater than what you see today? Do you want more out of your life more than what you see today? And that’s what belief does. It kind of pulls you to what the possibility are how far out can we look and to say these are the possibilities and what I believe and I want to believe. And I am going to accept that and allow that to take root into my life. Accepting anything that comes your way, releases the possibility of peace. Resistance keeps peace far from you. Accepting does not mean condoning, it only means that you are choosing to be in the moment as it is and will make a decision as you journey through life , is it your truth! Blessings Coach Milton Each of us is created and designed to have an internal guide to allow us to be successful no matter the circumstance. With this internal guide I call our instinct, we have a greater responsibility to bide by it's instruction when prompted. When you and I listen to its wisdom and advice concerning any , I mean "ANY" and all measures we are then set up to succeed.
The challenge with abiding by this amazing counsel is that, it may not seem right in the moment, but it is always right in the end. My challenge to you is to listen to this voice and abide by it's counsel. Start small and build up the strength and courage to listen and when it's strong you then can walk confidently into any and all situations. Blessings Coach Milton The lights go out and the music fades, the thrill of the music and friends is no more. The noise now becomes so deafining because the sounds are coming from within. These voices are so loud that you try to do all you can to drown them out. The only thing that works temporarily is to do something that can harm you or is destuctive. What you need at this point is some peace.
There are countless people that want peace, peace from fear, peace from anger, peace from their past, peace in the midst of a storm. You crave it and you desire this because if you dont fall into these categories I just mentioned, your actions good or bad are striving for that some times elusive peace of mind. You crave it, you desire it- PEACE I wish I had a magic wand or formula that can give you peace of mind, but I do not. What I do have I give you freely and that your only peace will come once you let all your expectations go. You allow a Higher power to take what troubles you and then live knowing that you trust it is in better hands and control than your own. My peace comes from the fact that if you believe it or not, I get my peace from God. I rely on Him to take my burdens , my insecurities, my past and present, my hopes and dreams and see that all I do from this point is done with the understadning that I am not in this life alone. I hope this helps you just a little bit today. Blessings Coach Milton |
